Houseihng six seperate theater it covers everything from performance art to visual art. Formally a midel school, it now plays home to some of the young and coming as well as old and established voices in the hsipanic community. |

Intar 53 Theatre The closest the hispanic comunity has come to a presence on broadway. Founded in 1966, Intar began it's carrear primarily focussed on performing Spanish texts. over the past twenty years Intar has grown to be one of the forrunners in the offering and nurturing of young hispanic talent ranging from writer, performance artists, musicians, operas, etc. |

Nuyorican Poets Café Hidden away in the edges of Alpahabet city lays this treasure trove of the spoken language. Ever wonder what it would be like if the beat nicks of the 50's and 60's were Dominican or Puerto Rican, come find out. It's at any of the many open nights and slam fests that you'll not only find a good time but, you'll also find many of the true undiscovered talents of the spoken word. |

Pregones Over twenty years old and over twenty years strong. One of the first performance venues for the hispanic performer, Prregones is still growing strong with series of biliingual performances rooted in the Puerto Rican experience. To its accompolishments, pregones ahs performed in more then 200 cities, has staged more then 59 new workds and has presented more than 300 guest aritsts from around the country and aroudn the world. |
